time, the miracle worker
It is often said that time plays cruel tricks on us.
Sometimes, I agree with that.
But sometimes, I see what time does.
What it does, is to be cruel, in order to be kind.
Have you ever blamed time for making something seem so far away, so long, when all you really want is for that thing to happen now?
Have you ever blamed time for making you hurt so much, for making the past the present, for making the past never go away?
I have.
But, time really is being cruel, because in being cruel, it is kind.
And now, it doesn't seem all that far away.
It's so near.
We're so near.
And the past, has remained the past.
Time has made the present something wonderful. Something that takes away everything bleak that occured in the past.
Time has taught me well.
I learnt to leave the past behind. The answers are not in the past.
Healing comes from purpose.
And purpose resides in our hope of the future.
Time is, in all honesty, truly a miracle worker.
It has brought me to you.
It has brought me so much closer to being with you.
It has brought me to only 4 weeks, after tolerating for 2 months.
And my hope of the future, is bright. Is beautiful.
Because I have a purpose.
The purpose is reflected in your mirror,
When you look at it.
