at times, it feels like...
feels like its not really there
like...
there but not there
like...
many things outrank this
like...
present but absent.

it is like
not being there sometimes
and there are reasons
viable, understandable reasons
which are of course accepted and understood
and then there are excuses
which understandably, may not be excuses

stand with the crowd
but i stand alone
don't make a sound
don't make a move
don't complain
don't seek assurance, solace
for there are reasons
and there are obligations
and there are fulfilments
which you never stand in the way of

sometimes it feels
feels stupid
feels like an extra
feels unimportant
stand at the sides
cheering and supporting what needs support
unwavering, silent, support and strength
pass me by, unnoticed
until what happens is over
look in this direction, noticed

but as reiterated
it goes this way
and acceptance is the key
as understanding and love are the passwords
into a heart
into love

still stand at the sides
offering more than unwavering support
more than unwavering love
