light and dark

Hand me a light, would you?
Because it's so dark.

I thought it was becoming brighter. It was. Clear blue skies, sunny days, with the occasional rain.

But it's so dark now. I cannot see what's in front of me.

Could it be dark because I'm scared?
Could it be dark because I can't see what's in front of me?
Or could it be dark because there's no one here to hold my hand?

It was brighter than this, a few days before. It was lovely, calming and soothing. It was beautiful. Maybe because what was surrounding me was beautiful. It was really beautiful.

But it's so, so dark now.

Could you hand me a light, please?
To brighten up my days.
To guide me towards the end of this tunnel.

Light up my life.

But so far away... ...
