"Some natural tears they dropped, but wiped them soon;
The world was all before them, where to choose
Their place of rest, and their providence their guide;
They, hand in hand, with wandering steps and slow,
Through Eden took their solitary way."
Sometimes, conversations that you've read or heard make the most sense, when you're not trying to figure them out, but just trying to read it. This is a conversation in a book that I read, and I thought it made much sense.
Woman: If we’ve made a mistake in our lives, do you think that God or fate gives us a second chance to make it right?
Man: I don’t know. But we’d probably make the same mistake over again. I just don’t think I’ve seen any second chances in my life.
Woman: Perhaps you just never learnt to recognise them.
The world was all before them, where to choose
Their place of rest, and their providence their guide;
They, hand in hand, with wandering steps and slow,
Through Eden took their solitary way."
