and this makes sense
"In her acceptance speech, the distinguished scientist paid tribute to her husband, Dr. Chris Davis. Tomorrow the pair celebrate their 42nd wedding anniversary after eloping together on the day they met. When asked how they could possibly have known that it would all work out. Professor Harrison replied in true scientific fashion: "We don't know, you can never be sure. But you take the plunge anyway. Sure is for people who don't love enough."

I always thought this made sense. If, in a relationship, you're always so certain about everything, is it love, or is it just a habit? A habit is certain. Something that is taken for granted. Something that you're so used to doing that without it, there is a certain sense of loss. But is it love? Because I think love is uncertain. Love may or may not fade, and the challenge, the desire and want to keep it alive is what makes love that much more beautiful. The effort put in keeping the flame burning is what makes it lasts even longer.
But I also think that in a relationship, where both are in love, the effort that is put into keeping the flame burning shouldn't be tiring. It shouldn't be seen as too difficult a thing to do. I've heard of couples who feel that it takes so much for their other half to put in effort in a relationship that they feel bad. It shouldn't feel that bad. It shouldn't feel that difficult.
The effort that goes into a relationship should be effortless, endless, yet fulfilling. It should make you happy, not tire you out. Love makes you give more, love more. It does not, and should not, tire you. Love makes you happy.
And that's just my take on love. Because I love.
