Who's afraid?

Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf?

I guess everyone is.

I've written about it before, but it has ever been something I feel so strongly about, until now. Maybe in a sense, what I've written about before feels more real now.

Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf -- who's afraid of a life without illusions? I guess on a certain level, everyone is. Because a life with nothing but reality is harsh, far too harsh and cruel. Everyone dreams, its only the degree to which they dream that differs.

The construction of illusions is crucial in order to live a life worth living, a life that is bearable, and not one that is suffering. I, of course, know that as well, because I dream, as well. Many a times, i dream of how things would be nicer, how certain things could be done in certain ways. They don't normally work out in reality, but at least they keep me grounded. They make me rethink certain actions that I think would otherwise have caused many destructions on a smaller scale, if I had not dreamt.

So, who's afraid of Virginia Woolf? No matter how brave or courageous you are, I believe, everyone, on a certain level, is afraid.
