snapshots of life

A friend asked me why I keep the silliest, ugliest, most laughable pictures of my friends and all in my mobile phone. I seem to always do so. I upload the nicest pictures into my laptop, and leave the silliest ugliest ones in my phone.

But the most valuable, the most priceless pictures, are these snapshots, aren't they?

These snapshots of my friends doing the silliest things, making the funniest faces, are the ones I love to keep. The ones I treasure the most. Because only when you are truly comfortable with them are you able to make such silly faces and not feel stupid. Only when you know you have the most relaxed, comfortable conversations that go on and on about absolutely nothing and absolutely everything with these people, are you able to sit together and laugh at the snapshots that were taken.

Priceless snapshots are meant to be kept. It is not with every friend that you are able to make the silliest faces and not feel embarrassed about it.

Priceless, valuable snapshots are meant to be kept. It is not every time that I take silly snapshots of my girl and me. Making funny faces, laughing at it when it's all over, and kissing after that because it just seems the right and lovely thing to do. And then taking more pictures of silly faces, of these sweet kisses we share. Other snapshots? They come and go. These stay.

I have pictures of my friends making the funniest ugliest faces in my mobile. I have silly pictures of my girl and me in my mobile. And when I feel down or upset, when I feel lonely, these pictures make me smile.

So you see, that's the reason why I keep the silliest, ugliest, most embarrassing pictures in my mobile. My friends, my girl.

The same reason why I keep these people so close to my heart.
