What is wrong with the lights in my house??

The main living room light fused with a loud 'ping' that scared the living hell out of me, and caused a blackout in my house 2 days ago. And I was alone. So I had to make a trip to the main generator to turn the electricity back on. And since my dad won't be home till Friday, it's up to me to either fix the light myself, or wait for my dad to return from his business trip. Considering that my whole family doesn't know how to change bulbs. (And that includes me!)

Then, the next day, the only light in my room went off too. So now I have no light in my room, and because that light needs unscrewing and all that rubbish to remove the light cover before I can change the huge tube bulb, I don't know how I'm going to do that. So. Now I have to do go downstairs and do my work, use my laptop, in front of the tv with my mom and sis. Everything to be done downstairs till Friday.

And today, there was a black out again. In my house. Because one of the living room side lights fused with a loud 'ping'. And I had to go to the main generator and turn on the electricity once again. So there are 2 lights down, 2 lights still working in the living room.

What the hell is wrong with the lights in my house?? Goodness.
